Family owned and operated, The Rawlinson Group were established in 1989 and represent the Renault, Dacia and Mitsubishi franchises from their modern purpose built premises in Bury St Edmunds.

The Brief

Our Solution

A key aspect of their customer service provision is enabling customers to browse on their phone as they roam around the various garages.

Similarly, the same access is required by their sales advisors and tech teams with their advanced networked diagnostic equipment and sales tablets.

With just two access points, their current system only provided coverage in the main showroom and workshop but didn’t extend throughout all the showrooms and outdoor coverage was especially limited.

Working closely with their Operations manager we designed a solution that extended their coverage across the entire site, utilising fifteen Ubiquiti mesh access points in total. Ubiquiti’s mesh solution gave us the flexibility to network the access points directly where possible and expand connectivity wirelessly to more remote areas of the forecourt where only mains power was available.

The addition of a cloud key was used to remotely configure and protect the network on an ongoing basis, as well as create protected partitions for the customer and staff networks, prioritising data speeds and access duration where necessary.
